Hello! I'm Mel.
I grew up in a small town in Argentina, and now I'm based in London, UK.
Back in my home country, I discovered this profession when the pandemic started. I found an ad on social media about a User Experience course where they were offering scholarships to young students.
At the time, I was working as a network analyst, so I only had a strong tech-savvy background, and a little experience with Photoshop since photography was always one of my hobbies.
After completing the course in three months, I was determined that I wanted to dive deeper into the subject. UX holds significant importance for me because it aligns with one of the things that I value the most: assisting others and enhancing their quality of life, even if it's as simple as making their lives a bit easier. And that is what UX is about: creating seamless, enjoyable and accessible experiences.
A few months after completing my first course, I started studying for a Digital Design Associate Degree, which I successfully completed by the end of 2022.

I got a job as a junior product designer a few months after starting my degree in 2021, in a company named Chicks Group. The main focus of my work was Web3 spaces and Cryptocurrencies. I learned a lot from there as it was my first experience in the area which I will always be grateful for.
As soon as I moved to London, I started working in a design agency, called Pixeled Eggs. Here, my main focus is websites for B Corp, NGOs, Charities and other purpose-driven organisations.

I now have four years of experience in this field and I am deeply passionate about design and accessibility. I have been focusing on learning about user research, storytelling and accessible design through webinars, tutorials, articles, and courses. I am always looking for growth experiences, both intellectually and at a personal level.
I hope you find my work interesting and feel free to reach me anytime :)
